Sarah Kaskas is a filmmaker, music composer and film educator as well as the co-founder of @karaaj.films which produces independent films focused on topics of identity and social injustice in the chaos of Beirut.
The Window Synopsis:
A year after Beirut’s port explosion, Basma and Mariam reunite in their old bedroom. Surrounded by a view of the port’s remains, the two women attempt to resolve their shared trauma and broken relationship.
STRUCK Synopsis:
One year after the Beirut Port explosion, director Sarah Kaskas narrates her trauma through a collage of her fragmented memory. Together with the voices of survivors, they attempt to process their collective grief.
