A message from Nada and Rafi:
“Hi! I’m Rafi—half of this campaign. Nada, my partner, and I are throwing this fundraiser to collect funds for our move to Canada. We both got accepted into different programs; Nada in hospitality and me in gender studies. Specifically, I’m going to be studying transgender and queer theory, and examining the relationship between theory and praxis in the queer community in Lebanon. Nada, on the other hand, is a sucker for the food and beverage industry. This campaign is super important to us because it would allow us to find the budget we need to be able to build a life together, continue our academic careers, and settle in a safe country. This is especially dear to my heart too because moving would allow me to start my journey with transitioning safely.”
