The Heinrich Boell Foundation Beirut Office – Middle East held an event to launch the book: “Yours Truly, From Idlib” Stories of Resilience from Idlib to Ghouta. Documented by Syrian photojournalist Tim Alsiofi & Written by Syrian rapper and writer Hani Al Sawah with an adapted Art Installation: exhibiting photos & audio narrations from the book. The book tells stories of Syrian civilians’ resilience beginning with the experience of the siege on Eastern Ghouta and through to their forced displacement to Idlib in Northern Syria. These stories were documented by Syrian photojournalist Tim Alsiofi – who he too made the journey earlier this year – and were written by Syrian rapper and writer Hani Al Sawah (Al Darwish).
