“Gender: unlimited” is a performance that was created by 5 young amateurs, whose aim is to highlight contemporary gender inequality issues and provide a reflection on racial and gender discrimination within our oppressive system. The performance is part of “Performance Art for Gender Equality”, a project led by the Danish NGO Crossing Borders, and funded by the Anna Lindh Foundation. The participants have been introduced to concepts like deconstructive thinking, decolonial, and intersectionality and have conducted weekly team-building activities and discussions for four months, so they could be better equipped to understand and tackle those issues. That led them to then question the meaning of gender and binarism, and collaborate for the creation of this performance, which was filmed in Projekt on September 16th.
