Negative Space and Desire

February 21, 2019 ~ March 3, 2019 7:00 pm

An exhibition by Rodrigo Echeverria . Everything that inflicts the desire to be grasped is negative space and once it is grasped, it becomes a positive space. Rodrigo Echeverria’s Negative Space & Desire is the study of Identifying negative space through the urges that surround the desired object. Rodrigo Echeverria investigated the acute degrees of desire in the negative space implicit within the color, line, and the plastic-performative-test conditions of the eternal life in Islam and the Orthodox Greek church. And how by re-enacting and absorbing each of their strategies, they turned to be defining elements in the process of production and gained new possibilities.
