We will learn how to mold, shape and polish an earthen pot, designed for planting seeds and different types of plants. Reem Hilal will be using Haven’s garden to introduce you to soil, and its clay/silt/sand composition.
The workshop will be centered on city-friendly plating and the practice of hearth (كانون), a practice to design what is biodegradable, and human and environment-friendly.
Reem is an architect. She founded Hearth’s design concept in 2017, which incorporates human health in natural sustainable design. The Earthen Pot is the first application of Hearth.
