The Yalla Care Coalition (a group of 8 Lebanese organizations working with the LGBTQIA+ community) is launching the Yalla Care Coalition Descriptive Report – A Study on the needs of the LGBTIQA+ community in Beirut, 2021.
Published in December 2021, the report is based on a comprehensive needs assessment totaling 310 respondents. Tackling SGBV, protection, WASH, livelihoods, and employment among others, this report unveils the critical reality of the LGBTQIA+ community from the Great Beirut area, a year after the Beirut Port Explosion.
We would like to take a moment for the cooperation stakeholders to meet with the members of the coalition (Haven for Artists, Queer Relief Fund, Marsa, LebMASH, Skoun, SIDC, AFE, Mosaic), to discuss the findings of our report, and hopefully find ways to improve the approach of aid programs aimed at the LGBTQIA+ community in Lebanon.
