“International days are occasions to educate the general public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems, and to celebrate and reinforce the achievements of humanity.” Here at Haven, we found ourselves rarely celebrating these international days as our daily work concentrates on these causes, whether it’s women’s rights, LGBTQIA rights, or many others. That being said, today marks the end of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence campaigns worldwide. We decided to launch our campaign on this day to prolong the conversation outside of the timeline.
